Privacy policy

This policy covers the website and email correspondence with EVIDIANCE, including Google Workspace, hosting, functional preferences, optional audience measurement and the adopted email retention rule.

Data controller and contact

EVIDIANCE, a French SASU with its registered office at 1 rue de Stockholm, 75008 Paris, France, is the controller for the processing described here. For questions or rights requests, email contact@evidiance.com, call +33 6 32 49 97 79 or write to the registered office.

Contact EVIDIANCE about your data

Information received by email

The contact link opens your email application. The website has no contact form, user accounts, online sales or newsletter sign-up. It does not send messages on your behalf.

If you email us, the information processed includes your email address, any name and business contact details you provide, message content and attachments, and correspondence metadata such as dates and recipients. Providing this information is voluntary; without a reply address or sufficient details, we cannot handle your enquiry. Please send only information relevant to your request.

Purposes and lawful bases

Responding to general enquiries and business correspondence, including with company representatives: EVIDIANCE’s legitimate interest in answering its contacts and managing professional relationships (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Assessing a service request or performing a contract where you are personally a party: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Correspondence with representatives of client or prospective client companies relies on the legitimate interest described above.

Handling data rights requests and retaining records subject to legal requirements: compliance with applicable legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Retaining evidence needed to establish or defend legal claims relies on EVIDIANCE’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). The website does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Recipients and Google Workspace

Correspondence is intended for authorised people within EVIDIANCE who need it to handle your request. Email is provided through Google Workspace: Google and its subprocessors handle email delivery, storage and security.

Relevant authorities or professional advisers may receive only the information necessary where justified by a legal obligation or the establishment or defence of legal claims.

International transfers

Using Google Workspace can involve processing outside the European Economic Area. This policy does not guarantee storage exclusively in the European Union. Google’s published terms provide for transfer mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

For EVIDIANCE’s French billing address, Google identifies Google Cloud France SARL as the contracting entity for Google Workspace and Firebase paid services. Each service’s processing terms and standard contractual clauses, where applicable, govern the relevant transfers. No specific regional configuration is claimed. You can request details and a copy of the applicable safeguards at contact@evidiance.com.

Email retention

EVIDIANCE has adopted a rule to delete closed, unsuccessful commercial enquiries twelve months after the last interaction. The President is responsible for the mailbox and a monthly review. The procedure includes relevant attachments and copies.

Client, contractual and legally required records are retained according to their applicable obligations. Necessary archives must be separated from day-to-day correspondence, with restricted access. The procedure relies on manual review; the website does not configure automatic email deletion.

Theme, language and tracking

The website offers optional Google Analytics 4 audience measurement, only when enabled for production and with your consent. It contains no advertising trackers or embedded social widgets. Images and browser fonts are served from the website.

Your explicit light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under evidiance-theme. This functional preference is not sent to EVIDIANCE and has no automatic expiry. It is replaced when you change themes and removed when you clear the website’s browser data. Without a saved choice, the website follows your system theme.

The language is determined by the page URL (/fr or /en). The website root permanently redirects to the French version. You can switch languages using the website links; no cookie or local storage entry saves that choice.

The theme preference is used solely to provide the requested website appearance and is independent of analytics consent.

Optional audience measurement: Google Analytics 4

With your prior consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and applicable tracking rules), EVIDIANCE uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand website use and improve its content. Before acceptance or after refusal, no analytics script, cookie, event or measurement ping is sent to Google. Analytics are disabled by default in development and preproduction.

After acceptance, Google receives the pages viewed, their titles and language, timestamps, browser and session identifiers, and technical browser and device information. The connection also transmits your IP address to Google, including to derive approximate location. Events sent by the website exclude URL parameters, fragments and referring URLs; no names, email addresses, phone numbers or message content are added. These statistics are not anonymous data.

First-party cookies _ga and _ga_<identifier> distinguish browsers and sessions. The website requests expiry after 180 days without automatic extension on every visit; browsers may shorten this. Acceptance or refusal is stored in local storage under evidiance-analytics-consent, with its version, decision date and expiry after six calendar months. You are asked again after expiry. This preference is independent of theme and language.

You can decline without affecting access, then change or withdraw consent at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Withdrawal stops future measurement, removes Google Analytics cookies accessible to the website and reloads the page if the script was loaded. It does not retroactively delete previously collected data or affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can exercise your rights by contacting contact@evidiance.com.

Recipients are authorised people at EVIDIANCE, Google and relevant subprocessors. The French terms for standard Google Analytics identify Google Ireland Limited as the contracting party. Google Analytics can involve processing outside the European Economic Area; storage exclusively in the EU is not guaranteed. Google’s processing terms govern these transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. You can request details and a copy of the applicable safeguards at contact@evidiance.com.

The GA4 user/event retention setting is two months, without resetting on new activity. It is separate from cookie and consent-preference lifetimes and does not cover all aggregated reports. Automatic browser-history page views are disabled to avoid duplicates. Advertising purposes are denied in code; unnecessary Google Signals, advertising-personalization and sharing options were disabled following the website owner’s review.

Hosting, technical logs and security

Firebase Hosting delivers pages, images, scripts and fonts through Google’s global infrastructure. Service delivery and abuse prevention require connection data, including IP addresses. Google states that Hosting retains IP data for a few months for abuse detection and usage analysis; no more precise period or faster deletion is promised here. These necessary availability and security activities rely on EVIDIANCE’s legitimate interests and are separate from optional, consent-based analytics.

Keeping correspondence confidential requires access limited to people who need it to handle enquiries and appropriate security measures. This policy does not guarantee EU-only storage or specific regional controls.

Your rights and how to exercise them

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and restriction. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Portability applies to information you provided where processing is automated and based on a contract or your consent.

Email contact@evidiance.com or write to the registered office, explaining your request and the correspondence concerned. Additional identity evidence will be requested only where there is reasonable doubt and in a proportionate manner. A response is due without undue delay and within one month; this may be extended by two months depending on the complexity or number of requests, with an explanation within the first month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), without contacting us first.
